My dream of being a professional photographer started over 25 years ago with my first 35mm camera. I loved being behind the camera capturing each photo, creating memories to be kept forever. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion, and something I knew would be my future.
As a single mom, I ran an in-home daycare center, honing my craft over the years by taking shots of the little ones I cared for, and snapping pictures of my own three girls. My photo experience eventually led beyond the home, extending to such events as marching band performances, choir concerts, cheer competitions, and church mission trips.
After my girls had grown, I then had the opportunity to work for a portrait studio, taking my interest to a professional level. I learned many new things that have helped improve my craft, including switching over from 35mm film to digital. I believe my experience with both mediums has made me that much stronger as a photographer.
Recently, at the prompting of many friends and family members, I decided to take my photography to the next level, by working for myself. I established Karen Elizabeth Photography in December of 2006, and have been shooting for myself ever since. I love what I do! And I believe that is what makes a business successful. Please join me in my endeavors, and let's capture your memories together!
"In my integrity you uphold me Lord, and set me in your presence forever."
Psalm 41:12
It has been my experience that God honors the integrity of our hearts. I believe I can use my business to honor Him by using my integrity to serve others.
